NInja Auto Barista Pro Data
This is the more geeky info I promised in my Ninja AutoBarista Pro review.
TDS Info
The TDS I recorded from 1:2 ratio shots was regularly 9-10%, vs the more usual 6-8% that I usually record on automatic machines. The highest I recorded was 11.5% (this isn't a flex, it tasted awful, very over-extracted), and the lowest I recorded was just over 7%.
More often than not, it was between 8-9%, which is also the most common TDS I've recorded with the Ninja Luxe Cafe.
You don't have full control over this, though, which is why I don't think this machine is for espresso enthusiasts. Most "normal" coffee drinkers, though, I think will be very happy with the majority of espresso-based drinks they make on this.
Big Coffee Pucks
It's worth noting that the higher TDS is responsible for the espresso intensity this machine is capable of, thanks to the grinder and the brewing unit. However, the big doses mean that you can produce big cups of intense espresso, for big AND intense milk drinks.
So if you like an intense flat white or cappuccino, and you don't love the fact that with automatic machines you have to sacrifice drink size to get that intensity, you'll probably find the AutoBarista Pro to be a breath of fresh air!
Coffee Volumes
Below I've listed what Ninja suggest should be the case for each strength setting, vs my test results.
