Taste is a subjective thing, everyone has a different palate, and everyone has a different level of palate development, too. If you've only recently started to "really" get into coffee, and you just don't get these flavour notes that you read on websites like this, or on the flavour notes on bags of speciality coffee that you buy, just stick with it.

If you carry on developing your palate, you'll find at some point that you start to pick out interesting tastes, which may or may not be present in the taste descriptions. While you once may have said "Meh, just tastes of coffee", you will probably find yourself saying things like "ooh, wow that reminds me of , and for me - this is just Millionaire's shortbread.
